Fans may want Idris Elba to play James Bond, but the 43-year-old actor claims he's too old for the job.

While promoting Star Trek Beyond Elba discussed what he called "the wildest rumor in the world," and confirmed that he's never actually been in talks for the 007 role.

"If it was to happen it would be the will of the nation because there's been no talks [between] me and the studio," he told Good Morning America’s Michael Strahan on Thursday.
