Fans may want Idris Elba to play James Bond, but the 43-year-old actor claims he's too old for the job.
"If it was to happen it would be the will of the nation because there's been no talks [between] me and the studio," he told Good Morning America’s Michael Strahan on Thursday.
The father of two also joked that he's outgrown the perks traditionally associated with the Bond character.
"If I'm really honest I think I'm too old for that," he said. "I can't be running around in cars and ladies and martinis, who wants to do that? Sounds terrible."
While it doesn't look like he'll be transforming into Bond anytime soon, fans can catch Elba in Star Trek Beyond, which opens nationwide on Friday.
