Bristol Palin is all about "teaching them young."

The 25-year-old daughter of Sarah Palin took to Instagram on Friday to share a photo of her 7-year-old son, Tripp, learning how to shoot a gun.

"#trapper #safetyfirst #teachingthemyoung," Palin simply captioned the shot of herself watching over her young son holding a gun.

The family clearly has no problem with firearms. Just a few days ago, Bristol's husband, Dakota Meyer, explained why he's for open-carry laws.

"Carrying has always been important to me for my own safety but now it is imperative because now I have someone relaying on me," he wrote on Instagram, along with a pic of himself, his gun, and baby Sailor Grace. "Every day, everywhere I go, every time I carry and am honors to be using the Blood Stripe holster from @gcodeholsters."

The 28-year-old war veteran also posed with his daughter and a gun earlier this month.

"Look @bsmp2 she's a natural!" he posted.

While the couple clearly has no problem showing off their kids, last month was a different story.

Palin shielded her children's faces in her Father's Day post to Meyer, explaining the choice was due to "too many creeps."

"As much as I want to show off my kids, there's been too many creeps recently, so I'm trying to keep them safe by not posting pictures of them," she wrote. "So hard but their safety is our no. 1 priority!!"

Palin and Meyer secretly married in June after dating on and off for several years. The couple announced their engagement in March 2015, but called off their wedding just one month later.

While Palin initially kept the identity of daughter Sailor Grace's father a secret, rumors of a reconciliation began several months ago when Meyer was granted joint custody of Sailor, and the two began posting pics of each other and their daughter on social media.
