It's a good thing Zac Efron is a fan of the Final Five, especially since there's one Olympic gymnast in particular swooning over him.
On Tuesday night, the 28-year-old actor tweeted that he hearts the U.S.A. gymnastics team, as they went on to win gold in the all-around final at the Summer Olympics in Rio, Brazil. "Of course I'm watching the #FinalFive dominate the floor! 😉#Rio2016 #TeamUSA," he wrote.
Meanwhile, gymnast Simone Biles has admitted that she is a huge Efron fan, and even has a life-size cutout of the Neighbors 2 star. "Sometimes I used to kiss him on the cheek,” Biles told NBC Nightly News' Stephanie Gosk while standing next to the cutout. "It’s a little strange."
Efron has been cheering on Biles all this week. After the 19-year-old athlete qualified for the all-around final on Monday, the actor gushed, "So phenomenal a skill's named after her. Congrats on sticking the Biles and qualifying for the finals @Simone_Biles!"
He also tweeted at Biles after Ellen DeGeneres gifted her with a leotard with Efron's face printed on it. “Thanks for the heads up @TheEllenShow! 😊 Good luck at the Olympic trials @Simone_Biles! #Rio2016,” he posted last month.
Biles excitedly responded: "@ZacEfron @TheEllenShow OH MY GOSH I THINK I AM GOING TO PASS OUT OH MY GOSH CRYING! THANK YOU 😊.”
The gymnast has even gone so far as to invite Efron to the Summer Olympics. "OK, Zac Efron, I think we need you here," she said on the Today show. "At the team finals, because we’ll all get to be there and we need you to come watch."
