John Stamos is in mourning.

The Fuller House star took to Instagram on Wednesday to share the news that his beloved dog, Linka, had died.

"She was always by my side, especially in the dark times," Stamos captioned the photo, showing Linka watching over him from outside a pool. "Never judging. By my side. Only loyal."

And while it's never easy to lose a fur-baby, Stamos can hopefully take some comfort in snuggling his other adorable pup, Freida.

In happier news -- the actor, who turns 53 on Friday, has been hard at work promoting the upcoming season of Scream Queens, debuting on Sept. 20 on Fox. Find out why Stamos said he "felt like a piece of meat" on the set in ET's Comic Con interview, below.
