Michael Phelps Celebrates First Day of Retirement With Baby Boomer -- See the Pic!

The 31-year-old Olympian just can't stay away from the pool.

Michael Phelps is definitely enjoying his retirement.

Days after he claimed his final Olympic medal (23rd gold and 28th overall), the 31-year-old swimmer is back in the pool -- with his baby boy, Boomer.

The Olympian and his family traveled back home on Wednesday, and wasted no time showing off just how good the laid-back life can be.

"There's nothing like being back home!!" Phelps posted to Instagram shortly after their arrival. "Great way to spend my first day in retirement!!"

Phelps' fiancée, Nicole Johnson, couldn’t wait to have her man back after being apart for much of the Olympics, sharing an adorable shot of the swimmer and his son on the plane home.

"So excited to spend a lil r&r with these 2!!" she wrote, along with the hashtag #mymen.

The day before, Phelps gushed about Johnson on his own account.

"I love spending time together with you!! Thank you for everything!! Can't wait for the next chapter in our life to begin!! Love you!! #rio2016," he wrote.

And of course, who can forget the adorable moment Phelps shared with his family after winning gold?

"You're going to bring tears to my eyes now," Phelps said in an NBC interview of the touching moment. "I wanted to be with him more. Being able to share that one moment that I had with him, [that was] definitely something that was very special."
