Nothing's better than a good meal after a hard day of work!
That's just what Zac Efron did on Aug. 23, when he stopped by Q Sushi in downtown Los Angeles after filming his new MTV pilot, a currently untitled documentary.
Halfway through the meal, the 28-year-old actor was joined by his brother, Dylan Efron, and his friend and Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates co-star, Adam Devine.
The coolest part was Q's world-renowned sushi chef, Hiro Naruke, closed the restaurant for Efron and his crew. Naruke served them without a menu, instead picking the items he thought looked best that day, including torro, sea urchin and eel.
Karina Smirnoff also grabbed dinner and drinks at a Japanese restaurant recently, visiting Yamashiro in Los Angeles on Aug. 19, where they ate appetizers, sushi, and the Himalayan Salt Plate.
"No way! I'm having a Crane Kick cocktail made famous by the one and only @ralph_macchio at#yamashirola," the Dancing With the Stars pro wrote on Instagram.
She was also very excited to meet “the man behind all these amazing dishes,” executive chef Christophe Bonnergrace. “Can’t wait to come back!” she captioned a pic of her with the king of the kitchen.
Also having a fun night out in Hollywood was Aaron Paul, who attended a Cinespia screening of Stanley Kubrick's 2001: A Space Odyssey at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery on Aug. 20 with his wife, Lauren Parsekian. The Path star mingled with actors Josh Hutcherson, Eric Andre, and Diego Boneta and monkeyed around in the themed photo booth before settling in on the lawn to watch the film.
Newylweds Jordan Peele and Chelsea Peretti spent their weekend enjoying another favorite past time of Angelenos: brunch! The two were very sweet and affectionate as they cuddled up together on one side of a small booth while eating at Bowery Bungalow with a third friend in L.A.'s Silver Lake neighborhood on Aug. 21.
Also dining in cozy style was Marla Maples, who was spotted rubbing the back of a male friend while sitting in a corner table at the lounge inside the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in NYC's Columbus Circle on Aug. 22.
Plenty of stars had their share of fun at birthday parties as well. Basketball Wives LA star Angel Brinks and NBA pro Tyreke Evans threw daughter Amani Evans an over-the-top rockstar-themed third birthday party at Music Stars & Masters in L.A. on Aug. 20. The soiree was attended by Amber Rose and her son, Sebastian, with the model even FaceTiming with her ex-husband, Wiz Khalifa, who happily watched his mini me play with instruments.
Brooke Mueller celebrated her birthday as well, ringing in her 39th at The Six Restaurant in Studio City, California, with her closest family and friends on Aug. 19.
Brooke Burke-Charvet and her 16-year-old daughter, Neriah Fisher, were on a roll at a different kind of bash, Old Navy's #DENIMMOVES roller disco party in L.A. on Aug. 20.
Jodie Sweetin got the chance to give her daughters, Zoie and Beatrix, a very cool experience as well: a private tour of Heal the Bay's Santa Monica Pier Aquarium on Aug. 12. The Fuller House star’s fiancee, Justin Hodak, was also with them, learning all about marine life and even playing in the Touch Tanks.
Even cooler may have been the skydive AnnaLynne McCord took with CEO/Founder of Hudson Jeans, Peter Kim, in Santa Barbara to benefit Project Rescue and eradicate human sex trafficking.
Edgar Ramirez, Ana de Armas and Usher were all smiles at the NYC premiere of their movie, Hands of Stone, in partnership with DeLéon Tequila, on Aug. 22.
Actress Olivia Holt, on the other hand, got her shop on, stocking up on her up on her favorite Neutrogena acne and cosmetics products during #MajorSteals at Target in L.A. on Aug. 20.
Meanwhile, mega realtors Mauricio Umansky, Emil Hartoonian and Billy Rose were in a mingling mood at a Midsummer Night’s Dream-themed listing party with homeowners at an estate in Calabasas, California, on Aug. 4.
