The 2016 MTV VMAs was a fete unto itself, but the after-parties around New York City were where A-listers came out to play. Like, seriously play, and did they look good doing it!
While Drake and Rihanna had a relationship coming-out party at Up & Down and Ariana Grande went heavy on the PDA with new beau Mac Miller at the Republic Records soiree at Vandal restaurant, Jennifer Lopez held her own in the head-turning department.
The newly single singer stunned at Epic Records' VMA After-Party at Marquee New York, where she rocked a tan long-sleeved Balmain mini (a fave J.Lo look!) with mirror embellishments. She paired the sexy, curve-hugging dress with silver jewelry, a metallic clutch, bronze smoky eye and high ponytail.
Inside the Aug. 28 bash, which was hosted by DJ Khaled, Lopez, 47, danced with friends and took pictures with fans while also mingling with
Janelle Monae, Flo Rida, L.A. Reid, and Sylvia
Rhone in the mezzanine.
Adele played it for more casual when she went on an errands run in Santa Monica, California, on Aug. 30. She balanced a fresh bouquet of flowers and a shopping bag during a stop into Bristol Farms.
Samantha Ronson was also in New York City. The DJ was seen ordering a water while sitting on the outside patio with friends at Manhattan's Bar Pitti on Aug. 25.
Brooklyn Decker did her own entertaining, showing off the Moto Z and Moto Insta-Share Projectors she has at her home in NYC.
Florida Georgia Line made their work in the Big Apple look like play, happily debuting songs from their new album, Dig Your Roots, at the Theater at Madison Square Garden as part of the Budweiser One Night Only concert series on Aug. 25.
Tia Mowry and Ana Ortiz bonded in NYC, swapping stories during Carefree's Speak Freely event.
Further east, there was a bevy of Real Housewives enjoying meals at Sunset Beach on Shelter Island in New York. Luann de Lesseps was spotted eating with fiancé Tom D'Agostino, Jr., on Aug. 28, as was Ramona Singer, albeit with a separate groups of friends.
Viola Davis was also focused on food, but for a very different reason. The Emmy Award-winning actress released a PSA on Aug. 25 for the" Hunger Is Hungry for More" campaign, in conjunction with Albertson's Companies Foundation and the Entertainment Industry Foundation. The focus is on the importance of daily breakfast for children, as the company's goal is to provide five million more breakfasts to children in need in the U.S. this year.
Also in the commercial spirit was Patrick Warburton, who hammed it up with the band Loverboy while reprising his "Control Enthusiast" role for a new National Car Rental "Go Like a Pro" TV spot.
Sisters Sara and Erin Foster got goofy as well, joking around on the set of a RetailMeNot shoot in L.A. on Aug. 26.
Meanwhile, Pharrell attended the launch event of Dean & Deluca's "The Williams Family Kitchen" in Bangkok, Thailand, on Aug. 29 with two very special guests -- his mom, Carolyn, and dad, Pharoah! The line, which will be available in stores in 2017, will feature specialty products based on authentic Williams Family recipes. How cool is that?
