The premiere, which was held at Odeon Leicester Square in London, was a family affair, as the Dempseys were joined by their 14-year-old daughter, Tallula, and 9-year-old twin boys, Darby and Sullivan.
Meanwhile, Renée Zellweger arrived with her boyfriend, musician Doyle Bramhall II, and wore a stunning, one-shoulder silk Elsa Schiaparelli gown with a funky metallic accent.
The 47-year-old actress also had an adorable moment on the carpet where she introduced herself to Dempsey's sons.
The latest Bridget Jones sequel marks Zellweger's grand return after nearly six years away from the spotlight, time that she said she used to "explore new things."
"I hope I'm a little less boring than I might have been after just 25 years of being an actress," she reflected during a press conference on Monday. "And I was craving a little normalcy. I wanted to learn something new and grow as a person and see if I had aptitude for these things that interest me. And if not now, it would be, 'Oh, in two more years, or three years, then ten years', and then just, ultimately, you just don't do them."
