Kylie Jenner Poses Topless for 'Complex,' Talks Blac Chyna, Lying About Lip Fillers, and Tyga

She even opened up about her brief romance with rapper PartyNextDoor.

Kylie Jenner may be 19, but she’s the first to admit that she’s not done making mistakes. The cosmetics queen, who is topless on the cover of this month’s Complex, is still finding her place in the world.

Opening up about her fame, Jenner told the mag, “It’s probably the hardest thing. You don’t know who you are. I didn’t know who I was a year ago, and I still don’t know exactly who I am now. You’re trying to grow up and make mistakes and everybody’s watching.”

For the Lip Kit creator, one such mistake was initially lying about her decision to get lip fillers at the age of 16.

“I wasn’t even 17 yet,” she said. “What if I came out and said, ‘Oh, yeah, I got my lips done’? What are all those moms going to think about me? These kids, my fans, they’re going to think I’m crazy. I didn’t want to be a bad influence. I didn’t want people to think you had to get your lips done to feel good about yourself. But they thought it was crazier that I was lying about it because it was so obvious. I wish I had just been honest and upfront.”

The reality star admitted that her decision to plump up her pout came from not feeling good about herself.

“It has been an insecurity of mine all my life,” Jenner said. “[In middle school] this guy I kissed was like, ‘Your lips are really small but you’re a really good kisser. I didn’t think you were gonna be good at kissing. It was so rude. From then on, I just felt like I saw guys staring at my lips. I felt like no one wanted to kiss me.”

She did admit that she “went too far” with the injections in the beginning, calling them “very painful,” but was also quick to note that she’s never gotten actual plastic surgery.

Another area of her life that’s seen plenty of criticism revolves around her relationship with rapper Tyga, who was 25 years old and she was 17 when romance rumors first started swirling.

“The first year we started hanging out, everyone around him told him not to be with me. I still get comments like, ‘Don’t be with him.’ But we’re not doing it for the public—we love each other. We need to be together at all times. We never get mad at each other, we just figure things out,” she said on her long-term relationship.

She even opened up about their brief split, saying, “I just needed to see what it was like not being with him. We realized that wasn’t what we wanted.”

While the pair were apart, Jenner was rumored to be seeing rapper PartyNextDoor, which she also addressed to Complex.

“He asked me to be in the ‘Come and See Me’ video, and that was after Tyga,” she recalled. “Me and Party have a cool relationship. I think he’s so talented and I love his music. But I wouldn’t say we dated. It never really got to that boyfriend-girlfriend stage. It was just fun. I was doing what I wanted to do.”

As for her relationship with Tyga’s ex and her future sister-in-law, Blac Chyna, Jenner said that any past drama is all water under the bridge. The Complex interviewer noted that she texted the pregnant reality star during their shoot to see how things were going with the baby and Jenner added that they’d had a one-hour phone conversation earlier that week.

“I never fought with her over social media in the beginning, but I understand where she was coming from and what place she was in,” Jenner, who insisted that she never caused Tyga to cheat on Chyna, said. “We’re totally fine. It’s all love.”
