Every time John Legend talks about his wife, Chrissy Teigen, or their baby girl, Luna, the world becomes a slightly happier place, and there was nothing but love and joy when he sat down to dish about his adorable family with Ellen DeGeneres.

The 37-year-old new dad first doted on his "adorable" daughter, and praised his bundle of joy for her kind and calm demeanor.

"She smiles a lot. She's got a good temperament so far. We're knocking on wood, though, because you never know," Legend said on Thursday's Ellen. "They say their twos are terrible and she's only six months, so we'll see."

Earlier this month, Teigen sat down with DeGeneres where she marveled at how little Luna "really is such a good baby" because she has her father's temperament, adding, "Thank goodness."

In September, Teigen also appeared with DeGeneres (as well as Jenna Dewan Tatum and Olivia Munn) in the short sketch Magic Michelle, a hilariously embarrassing all-female "reboot" of Magic Mike.

Legend couldn't help but laugh as footage of Teigen's various attempts at dancing on a stripper pole played on the screen behind him.

“I don’t think she was trying to be sexy,” DeGeneres joked

"I know! I told her, 'You're so sexy that even when you're trying to be anti-sexy, you're sexy,'" Legend joked.

"Yeah, she said you didn't leave her alone," DeGeneres quipped as Legend shrugged in agreement.

While the two have been spending their time being two of the most loving parents in show business, as well as traveling across the country to stump for Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign, Legend has also been working on the upcoming romantic musical dramedy La La Land.

The film stars Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone, but Legend also has a role ("way down below them") in the hotly anticipated project, which is already getting a lot of Oscar buzz months before its release.

"It was fun!" he shared. "We had a great time. I wrote a song for it, and I'm an executive producer as well, so we had a lot of fun making that."
