CATE BLANCHETT reigns in Tinseltown! Our KEVIN FRAZIER was on hand in Hollywood for the star-studded premiere of the Oscar winner's long-awaited film 'Elizabeth: The Golden Age.'
The epic drama hit theaters October 12, nine years after its prequel 'Elizabeth' put Blanchett on the star map.
This time around, Queen Elizabeth is fighting to save her country from Spanish King Philip II's powerful army which is determined to restore England to Catholicism. Meanwhile, Elizabeth attempts to balance her royal duties with her personal life, which includes her forbidden love for Sir Walter Raleigh (CLIVE OWEN).
The highly anticipated sequel also stars GEOFFERY RUSH and SAMANTHA MORTON and is helmed by Oscar-nominated 'Elizabeth' director SHEKHAR KAPUR.
Blanchett told Kevin about another project she has been hard at work on -- the latest installment of 'Indiana Jones'! She revealed that she just finished shooting on Saturday and said her time on the set was, "an absolute riot...my two young boys had the best time on the set."
Blanchett also offered her thoughts on pop star BRITNEY SPEARS losing custody of her two children saying, "I can't even imagine, it must be absolutely hideous, a black, black, black night I imagine."
