Janet Jackson sits down with ET's Kevin Frazier to talk about her new movie, marriage rumors, and more!

R&B diva and actress JANET JACKSON is back on film for the first time in seven years in TYLER PERRY's 'Why Did I Get Married?,' in theaters October 12, and she pulls no punches when talking to ET's KEVIN FRAZIER about the stalwart institution!
"Hey, I've done it twice; I feel [getting married is] a piece of paper that validates [the relationship]," says Janet. "But for me, it's a spiritual journey, and I don't need a piece of paper to know I'm good where I am."
Does that mean Janet and boyfriend JERMAINE DUPRI will ever tie the knot? "Maybe he's afraid to marry me," says Janet with a smile. "Maybe he thinks if he puts a ring on my finger it will be like Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde."
In 'Why Did I Get Married?,' eight married college friends gather in the snowcapped mountains of Colorado to wrestle through their individual difficulties, commitment issues and betrayals. Janet plays a psychologist, and says that she drew on her own relationship with close friends for her character.
"For some reason my friends come to me for advice -- don't ask me; I must do something right and give a little bit of good advice, because they keep coming back," she says. "But I don't listen to what I tell them, so I'm bad with my own issues."
