Is Courtney Yates' weight going to become an issue when it comes to surviving Tribal Council?
Is Courtney too thin? Send us your comments!
COURTNEY YATES was so weak during last week's "Survivor: China" "Blade Runner" Immunity Challenge that she put the Fei Long tribe way behind in the competition -- all because she wasn't strong enough to cut through a rope. She eventually finished her part of the challenge by sawing through the rope -- but her tribe never recovered from the time lost while she struggled to complete her task.
"I'm sorry, guys," she told her teammates, who for some reason opted not to vote her out at Tribal Council, although it was discussed, as she is labeled by some as the weakest link in the Fei Long tribe.
"Seriously, even if she makes it past today, I don't see how she's going to live 30 days," commented teammate JEAN-ROBERT BELLANDE. "I've seen anorexic girls with more meat on their bones than this girl has."
As for the castaway in question, Courtney says she's naturally skinny, and that her parents are tall and thin, too.
Whether or not Jean-Robert was serious, or whether it was a ploy to get Courtney voted off, only time will tell. But others are concerned.
Before she was voted off last week, Christian radio talk-show host LESLIE NEASE said, "Courtney, I'm worried about you. That was a hard challenge for you."
To which the 26-year-old waitress, replied, "I'm trying."
Tonight, though, the stakes get higher and Courtney's weight may be her downfall. Tune in when "Survivor: China" airs at 8 p.m. on CBS.
