A runway model got the surprise of her life last night when she stepped into a hole on an L.A. catwalk and sank into the floor up to her chest! The video (above) was captured by Xonger.com and happened at SHADANG's fashion show at the Mondrian Hotel's Skybar as part of L.A.'s Spring Fashion Week.

The unlucky model wasn't hurt by the fall, which was caused when a martial-arts performer did a flip and landed on his back, breaking the temporary runway moments before the models began walking. Fellow model JIMMY-JEAN LOUIS came to the young woman's rescue, protecting her and other models following, so no one else would suffer the same fate. Reps say the "Who's Next, What's Next in Fashion" show continued and no one was seriously injured.
