The "Grey's Anatomy" spin-off gets a full-season pick-up from ABC -- and a new love interest for Addison.

ET has confirmed that ABC has picked up the back nine episodes of "Private Practice," giving the series a full 22-episode commitment for its first season.

ET has also learned that former "Gilmore Girls" star DAVID SUTCLIFFE will be guest starring on the doctor drama as a love interest for KATE WALSH's character, Addison.

"Private Practice" airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. on ABC.
