Denzel and Russell hit the red carpet for the premiere of their new film.

Hollywood heavyweights hit the town on Friday night for the premiere of 'American Gangster' at the famed Apollo Theater in New York City.

It was family night for Oscar winners DENZEL WASHINGTON and RUSSELL CROWE, who star in the new film -- Denzel brought his wife PAULETTA, children and his mom to the big event, while Russell arrived with his wife DANIELLE on his arm.

CUBA GOODING JR., JOSH BROLIN and DIANE LANE, and BARBARA WALTERS also hit the red carpet for the event.

The premiere raised money for the Boys & Girls Clubs of America and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Mount Vernon, NY.
