Funnyman STEVE CARELL gets "real" on the red carpet with our THEA ANDREWS for his new flick, 'Dan in Real Life.'

When asked if he could relate to his character Dan in the movie, Carell said "All you can do is your best, and I think that's what the character in the movie is doing, just trying to do his best but he knows he's gonna screw up and against all odds, he just keeps fighting the fight."

The former '40-Year-Old Virgin' plays an advice columnist and widowed father who falls in love with his brother's girlfriend in the comedy, in theaters this Friday. The flick co-stars JULIETTE BINOCHE, EMILY BLUNT and DANE COOK.
