Meanwhile, Hayden, along with a group of surfers, actors and models headed to Japan recently in an attempt to end the reported slaughter of more than 22,000 dolphins a year. In the footage, collected by RIC O'BARRY of "Save Japan's Dolphins," Hayden and the others are seen paddling out to sea and for almost 10 minutes they are seemingly jabbed with fish hooks. Moments later Hayden is seen crying on the beach after being forced back to shore.

"Just innocence being slaughtered," the "Heroes" star says, "just innocence being taken away!"
