The "Lou Grant" star and his second wife are separating.
ED ASNER and his second wife, CINDY GILMORE ASNER, are going their separate ways after nearly a decade of marriage.
The second wife of the 77-year-old Emmy-winning "Mary Tyler Moore Show" and "Lou Grant" star filed for a legal separation on Wednesday in Los Angeles County Superior Court, checking off the ever-popular "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the split, according to The Associated Press.
According to the AP, Mrs. Asner, who was an associate producer on the 1992 movie 'Sister Act,' is seeking spousal support and attorney fees, with property rights to be determined later. The couple were married in 1998 and have no minor children.
Previously, Asner was married to NANCY SYKES from 1959 to 1988.
