ET has new information on the man who operated on Kanye West's mom.
New details are emerging about the doctor who performed cosmetic surgery on KANYE WEST's mother, DONDA before she died.
The man who performed the procedure has been identified as DR. JAN ADAMS. Viewers may recognize Dr. Adams as one of the co-hosts on the short-lived TV talk show "The Other Half" -- a male version of "The View." He has also been featured on the "OPRAH WINFREY Show."
In official paperwork obtained by ET, a document was submitted in April by the Executive Director of the California Medical Board asking the state of California not to renew his license, citing multiple DUI arrests -- the photo above shows his booking photo from DUI related charges in December 2006.
Additionally, Dr. Adams faced two cases of malpractice in 2001. He was ordered by the Los Angeles Superior Court to pay malpractice judgments in the amounts of $250,000 and $217,337. California places a cap of $250,000 for medical malpractice cases.
ET has also uncovered an additional eight malpractice suits filed in Orange County.
Meanwhile, the American Board of Plastic Surgery tells ET, "Dr. Jan Adams is not certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, but you don't have to be certified by the board to perform plastic surgery."
ET has also learned that the autopsy for Donda is scheduled for this morning.
