ET has just obtained court papers related to a civil suit leveled against DR. JAN ADAMS, the doctor who reportedly performed cosmetic surgery on KANYE WEST's mother, DONDA, before she died. The charges in the suit, which was filed in August 2002, include medical malpractice and making "lewd, unprofessional, unsolicited and uninvited sexual comments."
The patient, MANSURA AHMAD, who sought extensive plastic surgery from the doctor, claimed in the papers that Adams attempted to "manipulate [her] office visits" so that they would meet on Saturday, when they would be alone in the office together.
Ahmad also claimed in the papers that Adams performed four major cosmetic surgeries on her, all at once. The procedures included a tummy tuck, liposuction of the lower back and waist, buttock implants and calf implants. According to the papers, Ahmad was left with "massive, painful" scars -- including one that stretched "hip to hip" -- and she said that the doctor assured her: "One month later, you won't even know I've been there." Adams allegedly also inserted calf implants contrary to the ones she had requested on top of the patient's existing ones, giving Ahmad pain and numbness in her legs.
This malpractice suit against Adams comes to light in the wake of multiple other civil complaints being reported upon in the wake of Kanye West's mother's death last Saturday. As of this posting, ET is unaware of the resolution of this suit. Keep checking back here for more information.
