The 'Hostage' star will assist on the 65th edition of the ceremony.
RUMER WILLIS, eldest daughter of DEMI MOORE and BRUCE WILLIS, has today been named Miss Golden Globe for "The 65th Annual Golden Globe Awards." Chosen for the honor by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, 19-year-old Willis will be on hand to help award the statuettes during the ceremony, slated to air live on NBC on Sunday, January 13, 2008.
Miss Golden Globe is traditionally the daughter of a famous celebrity, so who better than the first-born of Moore and Willis to fill the position? Mother Demi has twice been nominated for a Globe, and father Bruce, a four-time nominee, won for Best Actor in a Television Series on "Moonlighting" in 1987.
Rumer made her acting debut in Demi's 1995 drama 'Now and Then' and continued to act alongside her parents in a number of high-profile films like 'Striptease,' 'The Whole Nine Yards' and 'Hostage.' Now in pursuit of a full-time acting career, she's completed two films due out in 2008.
Previous Miss Golden Globe honorees include LORRAINE NICHOLSON (daughter of JACK NICHOLSON), LAURA DERN (daughter of DIANE LADD and BRUCE DERN) and MELANIE GRIFFITH (daughter of TIPPI HEDREN).
