The actress speaks out against a member of the paparazzi.
NICOLE KIDMAN testified in Sydney on Monday about being "really, really scared" during a paparazzi chase two years ago, the Associated Press reports.
The actress said she was in tears during the harrowing experience because she was afraid for her safety.
"I was frightened and I was worried there was going to be an accident," she told the New South Wales State Supreme Court.
The incident took place on Jan. 23, 2005, while she was en route to have dinner at her parents' house in their native Australia.
She took the stand to testify in a defamation suit against a Sydney newspaper by JAMIE FAWCETT, a well-known celebrity photographer Down Under. The article in question claimed that he is the most disliked member of the paparazzi in Sydney -- and that he sought to "wreak havoc" on Nicole's private life.
"I have been pursued many times," Kidman said. "I have had this happen in relation to this particular man ... so many times."
"I employ people to protect me now. I employ people 24 hours to protect myself because I don't feel equipped to handle things," she added.
