For the second part of ET's exclusive behind-the-scenes visit to the 'Sex and the City' movie set, STEVEN COJOCARU chats up KRISTIN DAVIS (Charlotte) and CYNTHIA NIXON (Miranda).
"It's very easy to play Charlotte," Kristin tells Cojo. "It's the best job that I have ever, ever had. I love it. I feel like it is a miracle that this movie has happened. I feel it is one of those things that you wish for, but you don't know if it could come together. And we're here, we're together, we have the most beautiful script, and MICHAEL [PATRICK KING] is directing us."
King, who created, wrote and executive produced the TV series, also wrote the script for the film, and Kristin says it is so jam packed, it is as if he wrote three or four movies in one.
"It's very rich, full and packed. It's not like a couple of episodes strung together," she says.
When asked if everything we have seen shooting on the streets of Manhattan is going to be in the film, or if there are some red herrings, Cynthia reveals: "You're getting some clues. We have filmed some phony stuff to throw people off, but, of course, a lot of what you are seeing is just what is filmed on the streets. If it is filmed at the studio, or inside a restaurant, or a library, you're not going to know what's happening in there."
Part of what made the "Sex and the City" series so memorable -- and attracted such a devoted group of fans -- were the fashions. Happily, costume designer PATRICIA FIELD has returned to dress the ladies for this new outing.
"We always paid a lot of [attention] to our clothes," Kristin admits. "I feel that all of that has quadrupled. The detail and everything is perfect. Everything is amazing and to the nth degree."
'Sex and the City' is scheduled to open on May 30, 2008.
