Ex-NEW KIDS ON THE BLOCK singer and "Dancing with the Stars" contestant JOEY McINTYRE became a father Tuesday, when his wife BARRETT gave birth to a baby boy, and People is reporting the couple named their bundle of joy GRIFFIN THOMAS.

The 7 lb., 12 oz. infant and his mother are both doing fine, McIntyre's rep says.

And Joey is, of course, ecstatic: "My wife is a rock star!" he tells People.
