A trio of female stars struggle to get clean and sober.
In day three of our "Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew" coverage, we profile the women of the show: BRIGITTE NIELSEN, JOANIE LAURER (the former wrestler known as Chyna) and former "American Idol" contestant JESSICA SIERRA.
Once a top model and a movie star married to SYLVESTER STALLONE, Brigitte is now the mother of three -- and an alcoholic.
"She knows she's a serious alcoholic, and she needs to take this as seriously as if she had cancer or any other life-threatening condition," Dr. DREW PINSKY tells ET's JANN CARL. "The reality is that the prognosis for most addicts, in terms of survival, is worse than for most cancers."
Former "Idol" Jessica also struggles with alcohol -- and drugs.
"Jessica is a severe drug addict, make no mistake about it," says Dr. Drew. "Her life was out of control and she had consequences in every sphere of her life: health, legal, interpersonal, work -- everything was a mess, and she wanted to get better. She struggles with it every day."
And former wrestler Joanie reveals that she's been battling addiction too, but it's even more difficult for her to reconcile with her problem than others in the group.
"Joanie -- Chyna Doll -- had the most difficulty opening to the process," explains Dr. Drew. "She made some real progress, she really did; but boy, was it hard for her to identify as an addict or really feel as though these things are a feature of her life being out of control."
The three women join former "Taxi" star JEFF CONAWAY, CRAZY TOWN musician SETH BINZER, and DANIEL BALDWIN in their struggle to regain and maintain sobriety on the TV show.
"This is going to be an intense process," says Dr. Drew. "I'm hopeful we're going to change some lives -- maybe even save some lives."
"Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew" premieres January 10 on VH1.
