It looks like JESSICA SIMPSON's next movie, 'Blonde Ambition,' will be heading to theaters after all.

It was previously reported by US that the romantic comedy, co-starring LUKE WILSON, would be released on DVD on January 22.

But now, People.com is reporting that the film will come out in limited release on December 21 in Jessica's home state of Texas.

ELIZABETH WOLFE, a spokesperson for Nu Image/Millennium Films and First Look Distribution, says, "It is being released in this crowded marketplace in eight theaters in Texas. The reason we chose Texas is the two stars are from Texas: Jessica Simpson and Luke Wilson. As an independent studio, we, as a rule, don't have major wide releases. It's a very common release practice for independent studios."

Meanwhile, Jessica recently wrapped production on the comedy 'Major Movie Star,' in which she plays a famous actress who enlists to win the approval of a producer and studio who consider her unsuitable for a military-themed project -- and quickly regrets it.
