ET has the details...

On Saturday, ET's own MARY HART hosted the 19th annual Palm Springs International Film Festival's Awards Gala, and we have her on the scene and backstage with JAMIE FOXX, BARRY MANILOW, SEAN PENN, JOHN TRAVOLTA and the rest of the cast of 'Hairspray.' 

'Hairspray' breakthrough star NIKKI BLONSKY received the Rising Star Award at the Palm Springs Convention Center, while 'Into the Wild' director Penn took home the Director of the Year Award. 'Hairspray' is also being singled out with the Ensemble Performance Award, while 'Juno' received the Chairman's Vanguard Award.

America has spoken, and the Top 12 contestants on the ninth season of "American Idol" have been selected. Of course, it isn't until the Top 10 that the finalists can breathe a sigh of relief because only 10 will head out on tour this summer. Tune in tonight to find out who came so close, but yet so far away, when one of the Top 12 will get their walking papers after last night's performances of songs by the Rolling Stones. "American Idol" airs tonight at 9 p.m. on FOX.
