New details in the shocking death of a young Hollywood star.
New details continue to emerge in the tragic death of 25-year-old actor BRAD RENFRO, who was found dead Tuesday morning. An autopsy is scheduled for Thursday, but toxicology results can take six-eight weeks.
CRAIG HARVEY, chief investigator for the Los Angeles county coroner, tells ET that the actor was drinking the night before his death and was later heard snoring but was then found unresponsive Tuesday morning by his friends at his place of residence. The time of death has been determined by the Los Angeles Coroner's Office to be 11:04 a.m.
The critically acclaimed actor recently completed filming 'The Informers' with WINONA RYDER and BILLY BOB THORNTON. Senator Entertainment president MARCO WEBER issued the following statement on the actor's death:
"All of us at Senator Entertainment, the cast and crew of 'The Informers,' and director GREGOR JORDAN are profoundly saddened by the news we received today. Brad was an exceptionally talented young actor and our time spent with him was thoroughly enjoyable, and he became a true friend to us all.
"Our thoughts and condolences go out to his family and to all who knew him closely as the giving, warm-hearted young man he was."
The case is under investigation by the coroner's office.
