Brit pop-superstar signs record book deal.
GEORGE MICHAEL just inked a record-breaking deal to put his life story in black and white.
According to reports, the deal is said to be worth at least $6 million for British rights alone, one of the biggest publishing contracts ever in that market.
"George has promised HarperCollins a no-holds barred biography, and it's certain to be just that," his manager said in a statement. "People aren't stupid, they're beginning to notice that the truth is more interesting than the stories the press come up with!"
Prior to his hugely successful European tour last summer, the singer made a string of headlines for his run-ins with the law, on charges ranging from drug possession to lewd conduct.
The memoir is set to hit book stands in the fall of 2009.
