The former "Gross Pointe" star plays a woman questioning her sexuality on "Cashmere Mafia."
There are only four new episodes of "Cashmere Mafia" before the ABC series, starring LUCY LIU (Mia), FRANCES O'CONNOR (Zoe), MIRANDA OTTO (Juliet) and BONNIE SOMERVILLE (Caitlin), will run into its strike-induced season finish.
ET caught up with Bonnie to talk about what we can expect from Caitlin, who on tonight's episode, airing at 10 p.m. on ABC, attends a lesbian bridal shower with Alicia (LOURDES BENEDICTO), where Caitlin realizes she is still unclear on her sexuality when she is attracted to an incredibly hot guy.
"There is definitely a cliffhanger with my character and the whole sex thing -- what team am I choosing sort of thing," the former "NYPD Blue" star tells ET.
Bonnie says she didn't have to research the life of a powerful woman in New York, because her mom is an investment bank, so she had been exposed to that life her entire life. But she did meet with SALLY SUSSMAN, EVP of Global Communications for The Estee Lauder Companies, Inc., on whom her character is based.
"I met her and I actually presented her with an award," Bonnie continues. "She is an openly gay woman in the cosmetic industry, so I talked to her for a really long time. She is one of the most incredible people I have ever met."
Now that she is on a strike-induced hiatus, the actress, who studied musical theater at Boston College, performs with the BAND FROM TV, whose other members include "House"'s HUGH LAURIE, "Desperate Housewives" star JAMES DENTON and "Heroes"' GREG GRUNBERG.
"On February 9, we are playing the Pebble Beach Pro-Am tournament, and we played two weeks ago a club in Hollywood," she says. "We are playing another big gig in the summer time. The strike has been good for that because we have had time to get together and rehearse. We have free time, so we might as well make music and raise money for charity."
