The autopsy for HEATH LEDGER is inconclusive, the medical examiner's office tells ET. The actor died Tuesday in New York City and the spokesperson for the medical examiner says it will now take up to 10 days to complete the investigation, which will include a toxicology and tissue testing.

The police told ET yesterday that a bottle of sleeping pills made out to the actor was also found at the scene. A police rep wouldn't say whether the cause of death was suicide, and he added that he wouldn't call the site of Ledger's death a crime scene.
