ET has the latest...

In the wake of HEATH LEDGER's passing, production on MICHELLE WILLIAMS's next movie has been put on hold while she copes with her ex-boyfriend's death, a source connected with the film tells People.

"We will hold off until she is ready," the source says. "The production is in the process of sorting it out in respect to her."

The movie, titled 'Blue Valentine,' also stars RYAN GOSLING and centers around a young couple struggling with their marriage. Filming had been scheduled to begin on February 25.

"We're hoping she will still come back and do the film and are happy to wait," adds the source. "The film is tailor made for those two so of course we would want to wait. You can't get much better than them."
