Hollywood.tv cameras were there as BRITNEY SPEARS was escorted by an entourage of police to UCLA Medical Center's psychiatric unit.

The drama began Wednesday when, sources tell ET, Britney was seen driving erratically and at unsafe speeds.

The police first arrived to her Los Angeles home shortly after midnight, with an eventual motorcade taking the singer to the hospital. Britney's mother LYNNE SPEARS, her dad JAMIE, SAM LUTFI, friend ALLI SIMS and paparazzi love interest ADNAN GHALIB were all seen at the hospital early this morning.

According to People.com, Spears has been placed on a 5150, a 72-hour emergency hold so she can be evaluated and treated.
