ET has the latest...
On Thursday, ET brought you a rare and intimate look inside FARRAH FAWCETT's cancer battle and tonight the story continues as we introduce you to the doctor the Hollywood legend hopes can save her. Plus, not only is Farrah fighting cancer, but she's battling the tabloids as well. Did somebody try to sell her medical records? Watch tonight's ET for more on the exclusive story.
Meanwhile, Farrah's good friend ALANA STEWART tells ET the "Charlie's Angels" star was in disbelief when she was diagnosed in 2006. "She just kind of went, 'No, no, no, no, you're wrong, that's not true, you've made a mistake,'" she says of that fateful day. "And I think that's how she felt in the beginning."
Farrah is now in Germany seeking treatment that's not yet approved in the United States. "She really had faith in what they had to say," Alana says. "They really thought they could help her."
Unfortunately, Farrah has faced a barrage of photographers and personal questions ever since her diagnosis. "The paparazzi stalk her," Alana says. "She doesn't have any privacy.
"I think it has been more stressful to her than battling cancer," she continues. "Some of the things they have done has been unconscionable. One week they are printing she is dying and the next week they are printing that she is cured. And neither of those things is true."
Alana has been with Farrah the entire way and is now videotaping her courageous journey. "When all of this is over and she's in remission -- that's what we're all hoping for -- I think it's something that people will be very interested to see," she says. "Not only interested but inspired by."
