Cinema's 'Butch Cassidy' aims his proverbial six-shooters at the tabloids.
PAUL NEWMAN denies tabloid reports that claim he's in declining health, the Associated Press reports.
"In answer to the rumors about my 'failing health,' the doctors have been treating me for athlete's foot and hair loss," he joked in a statement, according to the AP.
The 83-year-old actor -- famed for his performances in films such as 'Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid' and 'The Sting' -- won an Oscar for his portrayal of pool shark Fast Eddie Felson in 1986's 'The Color of Money,' which co-starred TOM CRUISE.
