More trouble for Brit ...

ET has confirmed that BRITNEY SPEARS' father, JAMIE, filed a theft report Friday with the Los Angeles Police Department claiming some items of the troubled pop star's have been taken from her Beverly Hills home.

"We can confirm that a theft report was filed by her father on Friday," police tell ET. "No one is in custody. Looks like some personal effects had been removed [from her home]. The investigation is ongoing."

The news comes just after reports that Britney's 72-hour hospitalization in a psychiatric ward has been extended to 14 days. Last week, L.A. Superior Court officials found Britney unable to take care of herself or her finances, so Jamie was given control of her estate and appointed her conservator, or guardian, until the next hearing.
