Will Arnett is forced to step down due to a car manufacturer conflict.
VAL KILMER is stepping in as the voice of KITT in NBC's "Knight Rider" update, replacing "Arrested Development" star WILL ARNETT due to a conflict of interest, says Daily Variety.
Arnett is the voice of GMC Trucks, and the new KITT is a 2008 Ford Mustang, so General Motors asked the actor to pull out. Of course, "St. Elsewhere" star WILLIAM DANIELS was the voice of KITT, the talking Pontiac Trans Am, in the original '80s series.
The two-hour "Knight Rider" pilot debuts Sunday night, Feb. 17 at 9. JUSTIN BRUENING fills in the shoes of DAVID HASSELHOFF (who appears in the pilot in his original role) as Mike Tracer, Michael Knight's son he never knew he had.
