The "Cashmere Mafia" star gets dressed to the nines for her role as cosmetics marketing maven Caitlin Dowd.

Fashion fans who have been in clothes withdrawal since the finale of "Sex and the City" can look to "Cashmere Mafia," airing Wednesdays at 10 p.m. on ABC, to get their TV fix of knockout wardrobes.

The series is styled by none other than costume designer PATRICIA FIELD, who was responsible for the looks that Carrie, Miranda, Samantha and Charlotte wore in the HBO series.

Now, she has set the tone for TV's latest quartet of lovely ladies -- Mia (LUCY LIU), Juliet (MIRANDA OTTO), Zoe (FRANCES O'CONNOR) and Caitlin (BONNIE SOMERVILLE).

"I try to avoid trends," says costume designer WENDY STEFANELLI, who works with Field on the series. "I think what looks best are silhouettes that fit and colors that suit the individual. When I shop for the ladies on the show, I look for interesting pieces that will flatter them, not for the latest trend."

The show has been like playing dress-up for Somerville, whose day-to-day attire is jeans. But she does love shoes, and says that they get the best on "Cashmere Mafia."

"I am definitely somebody who loves clothes, but not quite to the degree that this show has taken it," she admits. "That is all new to me. I wear things that I never in a million years would think I could wear, because that is Patricia Field. She just puts these things on you. I trust her. Certainly, I have learned a lot of new designers. I like clothes, but I tend to wear the same thing. This is a little bit more edgy than I am used to."

On tonight's episode, just as Caitlin decides she can get used to the idea of being a mother to Alicia's (LOURDES BENEDICTO) unborn babe, Alicia surprises her with the news of how she wants to raise the child; Mia and Caitlin rifle through Jack's (guest star TOM EVERETT SCOTT) apartment in search of a revealing sex tape the couple made before their breakup; Zoe makes a life-changing decision; and Juliet and Davis' (PETER HERMANN) divorce turns ugly.
