WILL FERRELL is taking over the world of basketball in his new sports comedy, 'Semi-Pro,' in theaters February 29, and ET's KEVIN FRAZIER works hard to get a straight answer from the former "Saturday Night Live" funnyman!
"I went through this period where I grew my hair out and people thought I looked like a crazy man," says Will about his wild '70s 'fro in the movie, adding, "I lobbied to have my shorts that short. A lot of our cast we found out later refused to go any shorter."
It seems that Will may have been the one who most dug his period wardrobe: "You definitely get used to it," he reveals, "then you get so used to it you enjoy it."
In 'Semi-Pro,' Will plays Jackie Moon, a former NBA benchwarmer who returns to his rag-tag team in the American Basketball Association, the Flint Michigan Tropics, in an attempt to coach them to the big leagues. The movie also features 'White Men Can't Jump' star WOODY HARRELSON, ANDRÉ BENJAMIN, MAURA TIERNEY, ANDY RICHTER and JACKIE EARLE HALEY.
