The competition is about to begin, but first the Final 24 take time out to party in Hollywood.

Just one day after getting closer to making their dreams come true, the "American idol" Top 24 semi-finalists celebrated their achievement with a party at The Day After in Hollywood. ET was on the red carpet for all the "Idol" action.
Also on hand was former "American Idol" competitor ACE YOUNG, who this year was nominated for a Grammy for his work as a co-writer on DAUGHTRY's "It's Not Over." Ace revealed to ET that his self entitled album Ace Young is set to drop in May, saying, "I get to do what I love -- make music."
First season "Idol" runner-up JUSTIN GUARINI also was in a party mood. He tells ET, "'Idol' changes lives. It has changed my life all the better."
