While addressing a crowd at the University of Dayton on Monday, director SPIKE LEE proclaimed that "we are living in some very exciting times" and announced he supports presidential hopeful BARACK OBAMA, the Associated Press reports.
"The months leading up to the election in November will determine which way this country is going to go; forward or backward. It's up to you to do the right thing," he said.
Lee, the man behind such films as 'Do the Right Thing,' 'Malcolm X' and 'Inside Man,' was at the university to receive the $50,000 Wexner Prize that recognizes innovation, quality and integrity among artists.
