Despite rumors circulating on the Internet that officials are investigating BRITNEY SPEARS' friend SAM LUTFI, a spokesman for the Los Angeles Police Department tells ET, "There is no investigation into Sam allegedly medicating Britney."

Earlier this month, Britney's mom, LYNNE SPEARS, asked for a restraining order against Sam and filed a six-page declaration alleging that: Sam told her that he ground up drugs and gave them to Britney, told her that she had to take the drugs he gave her to get her kids back, disabled the phones in her home and hid her cell phone chargers, disabled Britney's cars, hid her dog London, and told Lynne and a friend to tell Britney that her recent boyfriend, ADNAN GHALIB, is gay.

Since Britney's dad gained control of her estate, Sam has not been seen near the pop princess.
