ET has the latest...

ET has confirmed that VALERIE BERTINELLI has inked a deal with CBS to develop a new talk show. The "One Day at a Time" star, who has been getting a feel for the genre by doing stories for "Rachael Ray," could possibly be on the air with her own chatfest as early as the 2009-2010 season.

Valerie is riding high on the success of her just-released new book Losing It: And Gaining My Life Back One Pound at a Time -- and her recent appearance on "Oprah" scored impressive ratings.
