WILL FERRELL's latest spoof comedy, this time about the world of semi-professional basketball in the 1970s, racked up a first place finish at the box office this weekend, with a haul of $15.2 million, according to preliminary studio estimates.

'Semi-Pro' finds Will playing Jackie Moon, a former NBA benchwarmer who returns to his rag-tag team in the American Basketball Association, the Flint Michigan Tropics, in an attempt to coach them to the big leagues. The movie also features WOODY HARRELSON, ANDRE BENJAMIN, MAURA TIERNEY, ANDY RICHTER and JACKIE EARLE HALEY.

Not far behind was 'Vantage Point,' which dropped to second with $13 million. In the thriller, MATTHEW FOX and DENNIS QUAID play Secret Service agents who are guarding the president (WILLIAM HURT) on a trip to Spain for a terrorism summit when chaos breaks loose. FOREST WHITAKER plays a bystander who takes video of events as they unfold. SIGOURNEY WEAVER, JAMES LeGROS and ZOE SALDANA also co-star.

'The Spiderwick Chronicles' stayed strong in third with $8.8 million. The fantasy film follows a pair of twins (both played by FREDDIE HIGHMORE) and their sister (SARAH BOLGER) on adventures following their family's move to the magical Spiderwick Estate. MARY LOUISE PARKER, DAVID STRATHAIRN, MARTIN SHORT, JOAN PLOWRIGHT and ANDREW McCARTHY co-star while NICK NOLTE and SETH ROGEN provide voices.

NATALIE PORTMAN and SCARLETT JOHANSSON's Tudor drama, 'The Other Boleyn Girl,' premiered in fourth with $8.3 million. The historical drama, based on PHILIPPA GREGORY's 2002 novel, tells the story of the Boleyn sisters as they woo the King of England, HENRY VIII (played by ERIC BANA).

'Jumper' dropped to fifth with $7.6 million. In the thriller, HAYDEN CHRISTENSEN plays a young man who discovers that he has a genetic abnormality that allows him to teleport or "jump" anywhere in the world, but he discovers there is a war to annihilate "jumpers" like him. SAMUEL L. JACKSON, DIANE LANE and RACHEL BILSON co-star.
