Former "Beverly Hills, 90210" star GABRIELLE CARTERIS opens up to our JANN CARL about the injury that left her face partially paralyzed for months, which she says occurred while shooting a TV movie back in 2006.
"We were filming an attack scene," she says. "I remember being pulled up by my chin over and over again."
According to the actress, the symptoms began almost immediately: "I was jerking around, I lost my speech and was having spasms. My face was doing wild things and I couldn't feel my hands and was having headaches."
She eventually decided to not return to the the film and Carteris says she now treats her condition with acupuncture, physical therapy and Klonopin three times a day. "Sometimes I look in the mirror and cry," she says. "Sometime I look and laugh."
