NICK LACHEY has offered up a new reality series to MTV. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the former "Newlyweds" star has brought to the network an unscripted musical drama that is being described as a reality version of "Fame."

The pilot will center on the lives of students at Nick's alma mater, the School for Creative and Performing Arts in Cincinnati.

"The stories and relationships are all set to music that's organic in what's going on in the school and also performed by the kids, says TONY DiSANTO, executive vp series development and programming.

Nick, who co-starred with his then-wife JESSICA SIMPSON on MTV's popular "Newlyweds: Nick & Jessica," is executive producing the new project.
