TV's top chef is back for another season of culinary capers on "Hell's Kitchen."
The heat will be back on in "Hell's Kitchen" when the series returns to FOX for its fourth season on Tuesday, April 1 at 9 p.m. Once again reigning supreme in the kitchen will be world famous chef GORDON RAMSAY, who in a recent press conference for the premiere, revealed that he doesn't like to curse -- even though he is famous for it on the series!
"That may sound slightly bizarre," he admits, "but, trust me, it is not my fault entirely. It is the industry language. Any chef would be a hypocrite if they didn't admit to swearing in the kitchen, but it is something that I am not proud of, and every time I get reminded of that by my mother. But more importantly, I have four young children. My wife is a school teacher. I can switch off. I have an outside life."
This is the first time that "Hell's Kitchen" will be running in the spring. But whether or not the show, which is normally summer fare, will run its fifth cycle this summer remains to be seen.It is a distinct possibility, however, since Gordon reveals that the fifth season was filmed on the back end of the fourth.
"When you build a restaurant that phenomenal … I hate the word set and I hate the word cast … It is amazing in the health and hygiene sense … properly air conditioned, properly irrigated with hot and cold running water, so the whole things is built like a proper restaurant," he explains. "Obviously, FOX is paying for it, so in terms of expenditure, it is economical. On the back of the draw, [of the thousands of people who tried out], finding 30 chefs in that bunch wasn't difficult."
