Kirstie will develop projects with Harpo.
KIRSTIE ALLEY has signed a development deal with Harpo Productions, ET can confirm.
Harpo, which is OPRAH WINFREY's production company, made the deal with the former "Cheers" star for "future television projects, including a possible daily strip format," the company said in a statement.
Calling Kirstie a "fan favorite," Harpo president TIM BENNETT raved: "Audiences love her and it's easy to see why: she is always at ease, whether speaking up about the most intimate aspects of her life or even appearing in a bikini on the 'Oprah' show."
The Golden Globe and Emmy winner said, for her part, "I'm very open with what I've been through in my own personal life, and nothing -- I mean nothing -- is off-limits for me to talk about. Nothing shocks me. I'm a great listener. I'm a good comedian. And I won't lie -- I live a beautiful life."
Kirstie, who recently starred in commercials for weight loss giant JENNY CRAIG, said recently that she intends to start her own weight loss program.
