ET has the details...

Hours after narrowly missing the cut to join "American Idol"'s touring Top 10, AMANDA OVERMYER talked about her experience on the hit FOX series.

"Yesterday was the most traumatic thing that's happened in my life; I just got voted off of a TV show," the rocker chick quipped. "I definitely had hoped for position six or seven, but it's not how it worked out. It is what it is. I'm not going to cry over spilled milk."

The night before viewers voted Amanda off, judges RANDY JACKSON and SIMON COWELL chastised her for a "pitchy" and somewhat "predictable" performance of THE BEATLES' "Back in the U.S.S.R." Was song choice her downfall?

"No, I don't think that the song choice had anything to do with it, because if it wasn't that song, it was going to be another song that sounded like me singing it," Amanda said, adding that next week she would've tackled "On the Dark Side" by JOHN CAFFERTY AND THE BEAVER BROWN BAND.

She also noted that she didn't let the judges' critiques influence her performances: "I wanted to be respectful and listen, but … the objective of being on this show was to go out there and show America me, perform like me, look like me and see how well it would take. The comments from the judges were based more on the idea of trying to win, and I had a different agenda."

What, then, was the Indiana native's agenda? Did it include a career in music? Home oxygen and durable medical equipment were the tools of Amanda's former trade -- a career she says she'll go back to if need be.

"As of right now, no decisions are being made as far as what exactly I'm going to do, because I have no idea if there are any options … It's going to be a little bit of a waiting game for the next couple of months probably."

But if the rebel rocker with the snow-streaked hair has in fact growled her last verse for audiences, she's at peace with that: "If this is just 15 minutes of fame, I'm not going to chase it my whole life trying to get it back; I'll take it for what it is and move on."
